Extractions can seem daunting at first but, at Aspire, we pride ourselves on providing a calm and friendly environment for our patients.
As dentists our aim is to maintain and preserve your natural teeth for as long as possible however some cases may present when there is no alternative but to remove a tooth. Typically, this tends to be when a tooth is too badly damaged through decay, infection, or fractured beyond repair.
Tooth removal will be carried out under local anaesthetic however you may experience tenderness in the area around the extraction site for up to 48 hours after the procedure. You will be given detailed homecare instructions to follow however if the pain and tenderness does not ease after a few days we recommend you come and see us again for the site to be assessed.
